Cooled CamerasThe cooled cameras with 12 bit, megapixel resolution and controlled double-stage Peltier cooling excel
in all kind of areas, even the price is unbeatable. Convincing especially in low-light applications with
extremely long exposure times such as fluorescence microscopy, electrophoresis or gel documentation. The
cooled cameras come equipped with high-quality sensors featuring extreme sensitivity. The color models
provide brilliant color reproduction due to the camera-internal color processing. At room temperature the
controlled double-stage cooling cools the sensor down to -15 °C (unregulated Delta T 42 °K). The cooling
helps minimizing the dark current. Even with exposures of several minutes the sensor maintains the full
dynamic range and prevents hot spots. A lower refresh rate in the switchable slow scan mode reduces the
read-out noise. The employment of high-quality components and sophisticated circuitry for the cooled
cameras minimizes the electrical noise.
