The rugged cameras quality are perfect for rugged applications, according to MIL standards if desired. Resistant to temperature, shock and vibrations the rugged cameras are predestined for extreme challenges under extreme environmental conditions. The rugged cameras are used as daylight systems in aircrafts, helicopters and frigates, as cockpit cameras and observation cameras for drones and submarines. The outstanding DRE function (Dynamic Range Enhancement) is integrated into rugged cameras. DRE provides an enormous increase of contrast in the live image. The rugged cameras are suitable for as daylight vision systems for long range observation tasks, as rear view camera, and as a supplement to infrared camera systems. The rugged cameras provide various interfaces like Video, RS 422, Fire Wire, Camera Link, LVDS... The rugged cameras are available in compact casing design and with remote camera head.
